Special Events

One of our strongest focus is to use what we do well to promote our mission. We believe special events are good for the community – both economically and for uplifting community spirit – but also as a mechanism to help educate and inspire positive change. We attempt to do this through several events we organize, such as:

Earth Day Festival ~ Oktoberfest Harvest Jamboree ~ Dorothy in Wonderland play ~ Park Clean ups ~ Tree Plantings ~ Midsummer Magik concert ~ Volunteer Recognition parties

However, we also strive to help out other non-profit organizations and their missions and other events within our community.  We have assisted numerous other organizations with their special events, from marketing assistance to logistics advisory, from recycling to volunteer recruitment, from managing exhibitors to media and press releases.  Other events we have helped in these manners include Reno Block Party, various Art Town events, Forte Awards, Aloha Festival, Tahoe Expo, SNAFU, Reno and Sparks Open Streets, Reno Rail Days and various concerts and safety events.  We want every event in the area to be successful!

Fellow Events Program – This program offers free space to any other area event at any of our events. They can use the space to promote their event, sell tickets, hold an activity related to their event – anything to help make their event successful. All the event needs to do is let us know they’d like to be at one of our events and how much space they need.  We’ll work out the details. Then we get the opportunity to have booths and promote sustainability at other events. It’s a wonderfully effective trade.
