Volunteerism

Did you know that Mercury Momentum is 100% volunteer run? We feel that volunteering and giving your time for the community and initiatives you believe in is what makes life fulfilling and communities strong.  We support volunteerism as something to encourage in the community and especially cultivate in young people.  We recruit volunteers and find opportunities for them to engage in diverse activities that have an important positive impact.  We strive to make volunteering an empowering and educational experience. It can be hard work, but well worth it.  We also try to ensure lots of training, recognition and support for volunteers – from awards and gifts, to special appreciation parties, to hours of service tracking and reference letters.  Volunteers can choose from so many opportunities:

Annual Earth Day Festival – engages over 300 volunteers during the month of April – National and Local Service Month!

Other Special Events by Mercury and other organization – one of the funnest ways to volunteer.

Hands On opportunities like tree plantings, cleans ups and building projects with other organizations.

Arts events by Mercury and other organizations, such as concerts, award shows, theater plays, etc.
